WHO WE ARE

TOU & MAI ARE VERY COMMON NAMES FOR A HMONG MALE

AND FEMALE.  THIS SHOP IS DEDICATED TO THE WAR CHILD FIGHTING FOR A BRIGHTER FUTURE.

MAY YOU ALWAYS LIVE to DREAM & CREATE.

TOU & MAI ARE SIMPLE NAMES THAT CAN ACT AS PREFIXES to create another meaning.

The Hmong are creative artisans, working mainly with but not limited to cross-stitching, embroidery, reverse appliqué, patchwork, batik, hemp & more.

The Hmong; a sub group of the Miao, are a community driven people who depend on community support.  They inhabit parts of China, Laos, Thailand, Vietnam, Myanmar, Australia, South America, France, the United States and counting.  With various dialects, sub groups and clothing, the Hmong stay true to their roots & history thru their artisanal work, poetry & language.

There is still a small community that live in the Metro Detroit Area.

We currently support local & non-local Hmong groups who hand-make & design Hmong textiles. To shop and support, visit our sister store MADE.

WHAT IS BOBA?

BOBA TEA (aka Bubble Tea or Pearl Tea) is a TAIWANESE tea-base

drink invented in the 80's.  Since then, it has grown much popularity

throughout Asia and all over the world.  In the States, it is mostly

known on the west coast and big cities such as Chicago and New York.

Boba Tea is something for everyone.
