WHO WE ARE
TOU & MAI ARE VERY COMMON NAMES FOR A HMONG MALE
AND FEMALE. THIS SHOP IS DEDICATED TO THEM. MAY YOU ALWAYS LIVE, DREAM & CREATE.
TOU & MAI ARE NAMES THAT CAN START AND END WITH ANOTHER
NAME ATTACHING TO THOSE NAMES, CREATING DIFFERENT MEANINGS.
The Hmong are creative artisans, working mainly with cross-stitching, embroidery, reverse appliqué, patchwork, hemp & more.
The Hmong; a sub group of the Miao ethnicity, are a community driven people who depend on their immediate & extended family support in many aspects. They inhabit parts of China, Laos, Thailand, Vietnam, Myanmar, Australia, France, the United States and more. With many different dialects, sub groups and clothing, the Hmong stay true to their roots & history thru their artwork, poetry & language.
There is still a small community that live in the Metro Detroit Area and spread throughout Michigan.
Meet one of the last Hmong families who still live in the suburbs of Detroit.
We currently support local & non-local Hmong groups who hand-make & design Hmong textiles and more.
WHAT IS BOBA TEA?

throughout Asia and all over the world. In the States, it is mostly
